Transportation Ministry
We now have a new church van, and have started our transportation ministry, and we're already picking people up. If you need a ride to church, or know someone (child, adult, or senior citizen) who would like to come to church, but is unable to drive, please let us know. This is a great new ministry for our church that we are excited to see take off.
Youth Rally-September 30
Coming up on Saturday, Sep. 30th, we will be hosting a Youth Rally here at the church from 5:00-8:00 p.m. We're inviting area teens and churches to attend this great night of food, fun, preaching and worship. Breakaway from Baptist Bible College in Springfield will be leading the music, and our guest speaker will be Justin Palmer. Church 101
For the five weeks (starting 9/17), during the discipleship time at 9:30am, we are offering a 5-week class for those who are new to the church and possibly interested in joining the church but would like to know more information before doing so. Information covered will include the biblical basis for church membership, the role of the church in our world, as well as the role of individual church members in the life of our church. We will also look at our church constitution and by-laws. This class is also good for members who have never gone through this particular class in the past. To sign-up, see Pastor Derrick today.
Project 938 Sunday
On Sunday, Oct. 1st, along with hundreds of other churches worldwide, we will be taking part in Project 938 Sunday, taken from Matthew 9:38. We're asking the Lord to send forth more laborers into the harvest fields. On this Sunday, we will hear from Caleb Elizondo from Iglesia Cristiana Casa de Oracion in Springfield, as well as viewing the brand new missions documentary of pioneer missionary Richard Konnerup.
